Kent Bands Compilation (Make Some Noise Records)
Format:
Album (13 Tracks)
BY STUART KEELER
Packed with 13 tracks from prestigious Kent bands, this compilation serves to offer a high quality slice of what Kent has to offer the music industry. The music is varied and covers many different styles, but all deserve attention and are brought together well on this one CD. The opener, a track from The Lovedays (‘When the Lights Went Out’) shows what a talented songwriter Ben Jones is, whilst other artists such as David Migden and Hydraponic offer more unique sounds that are not commonly heard in the venues around the county. A beautiful song from The Ambience titled ‘Centre of the Park’ finishes off this collection wonderfully.
Gig Guide favourites; ‘Girls Are In Charge’ (What Would Jesus Drive) & ‘Centre of the Park’ (The Ambience).
