Ghost In Mirrors are a four piece progressive rock band led by French vocalist France Amann.  The tagline of progressive rock might put some people off but they will be missing out on something special, at first listen on title track ‘Ryder’s Dismount’, Ghost In Mirrors sound like a cross between Tool and Rage Against The Machine.
However elements of Portishead and Massive Attack are also evident in the brilliant ‘Across The Seas and Oceans’ and ‘Tribe’.  ‘Dead Bird’ and ‘Again’ definitely put the rock in progressive rock with crunching distortion and great lead overdrive work from guitarist Phil Short.  It’s always great to see a band trying something different and Ghost In Mirrors are that kind of band.
