Kent’s bestest music festival returns to Merton Farm on the 10th July, bringing all sorts of live music to Canterbury.
Featuring 160 bands spread across 6 stages, there will once again be a great mix of local talent alongside well known faces.
Lounge on the Farm was conceived from a desire to bring music and art back to Canterbury. The organisers try to bring as many local businesses, community groups, artists and producers into the festival to keep the whole feeling… well, local! This also means the whole event reduces it’s carbon footprint caused over the weekend.
“Music festivals have a huge impact on their host community so we believe that our local community should get as much stimulus, be it financial or cultural from the festival as possible.”
- lounge on the farm staff.
It is this ethos that makes Lounge On The Farm stand out from all the other festivals around, and 2009 is already being tipped as the best yet! First acts to be announced include Gong, The James Taylor Quartet, Steve Hillage Band, Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip, DJ Format (DJ Set), Wild Beasts, The Invisible, Wave Pictures, Baddies, Toddla T & MC Serosee, The Onlookers, 6 Day Riot, Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, Syd Arthur and a six hour set from Mr Scruff!
Reduced rate ‘Early Bird’ tickets are available now.
